Queens of Mayfair review

Queens is like a traditional English cafe but with a swanky Mayfair upgrade. There's so much gold in here. Even the fire extinguisher is golden!
Classic cocktail

My husband treated me to brunch with bottomless cocktails. Where we were hosted with warmth and generosity by all staff members.

To drink, I started off with a Salted caramel espresso martini. The cocktail menu is cleverly themed around the British monarch. With a 'bloody Harry'. Blood orange infused cocktail. Instead of tomato based bloody Mary's.

As well as cocktails. Fresh juices and a variety of hot teas were also an option during our 1 hour 30 minute booking.

We were both impressed by the number of vegan and vegetarian food choices available. I decided to have the courgette and sweetcorn fritters. Smashed Avocado. Carrot puree and spiced Halloumi.

It was delicious. However, the chef's special was the star of the show. Truffle scrambled eggs on a bed of Asparagus. Chanterelles mushrooms & shaved black truffle, served on an English muffin.

We took our starters and fresh juices home. From a choice of cakes and pastries. The lemon and cinnamon iced bun was a delicious choice. With a slice of just ok chocolate cake.

After our main meal. The drinks kept coming and our friendly waitor placed some fresh chopped strawberries and cream. Plus a bowl of crisps on our table for us to enjoy.

My favourite cocktail of the afternoon was the beautiful Queen (makes sense). It's a well made champagne bellini. Which happens to be one of my favourite cocktails ever.

I also tried a night at the palace (not literally). With a sprig of rosemary and another cocktail that tasted a lot like grapefruit juice.
