A dreamy Bridgerton Style Break

A Bridgerton themed staycation

The beauty of country hotels. With their open fields and fresh countryside air after months in the city always astounds.

Country hotels

My eagerly anticipated. Bridgerton themed staycation finally came around. In which my husband and I enjoyed an overnight stay at the highly rated. Four star Nailcote Hall hotel and country club in Warwickshire. From London, it's a journey that takes just two hours or so.

Bridgerton inspired dress

Our romantic package break included a stay in a periodic style suite. At one of the UK's top country hotels. With dinner. Breakfast and a round of golf. Plus a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Fruit. Luxury chocolates and bottle of wine on arrival in our stunning hotel room.

Anniversary trip

The whole hotel gives cottage and castle vibes at the same time. With creaking floorboards and rustic furnishings. Met by the grandeur of hanging Chandeliers. The ceilings are low everywhere. Except for in our luxury hotel room. With wonky wooden beams. Even antique artefacts and paintings hang in some places. I love the raw beauty and charachter such a historic hotel gives.

Couples vacation

We were there to celebrate both our 7th wedding anniversary and my husbands birthday. The main attraction of our room for the night being the huge four poster bed pictured.

Couples travel

I was unaware of just how large the bed was until we were in it. Definitely larger than your average and already spacious king sized bed. All accompanied by an extremely cosy. Super comfy mattress. Pillows and the softest linen ever!

Honestly, I didn't realise how soft bedding could be! It's definitely inspired a sheet upgrade at home! The fact that it was a four poster bed was the icing on the cake!

A dramatic bed with thick. Winding wooden beams at each corner. Plush. Draping material overhead and curtains able to be tied on either side.

How befitting it was that a period movie was playing on TV the same evening we ourselves felt like special guests of a tudor mansion!

Luxury country hotel

Earlier in the day, we enjoyed a round of golf at the beautiful on site. Nine hole golf course - The Cromwell course. Rated best par 3 course in the country by Britain's best selling golf magazine 'Today's Golfer'.

The Cromwell course is home to the annual British par 3 championship. This golf course enjoys all the hazards of a full scale course. Including ditches. Water. Elevated greens and twenty-three bunkers.

Bridgerton aesthetic

We even drove a golf buggy for the first time, which was fun. The stunning Cromwell golf course includes miniature bridges. Ponds and water features. With benches around the course. Plus free roaming geese and quail.

After our fun filled afternoon outdoors. We enjoyed some wine and a dip in the angled bathtub - Just big enough for two. Our bathroom also included views across the gardens. Stretching out across the adjoining farmers fields. With a heated towel rack and water that gets extremely hot.

The bath was so therapeutic that we needed not interrupt the intimacy of it with a trip to the hotels spa. A spa that's free of charge to hotel guests and fitted with indoor swimming pool. Jacuzzi and a steam room.

As the evening approached. We got all dressed up for a romantic dinner at the in house. Fine dining restaurant. The Oak wood downstairs. Stopping for photos in front of stained glass windows. At the top of our mini winding staircase.

The oak wood dining room includes a fireplace and beautiful window seat. Attentive staff provide all guests with complimentary iced water. Delicious warm bread and salted butter.

For starters we ordered the country style chicken parfait. With warm brioche toast and a red onion marmalade. Plus the twice baked. Smoked applewood souffle. With a beetroot chutney.

Our mains were seared fillet of seas bass for him. Which looked and tasted amazing. Two Chunky seas bass steaks stacked on top of buttered samphire greens. With green olive potato. Squash tortellini and caviar sauce.

My main for the evening was a delicious dish of roast vegetable parcel with King oyster mushrooms. To drink we enjoyed a refreshing cider and some dessert wine.

Pudding was the tangy. Sweet crepes suzette for me, and a chocolate and passion fruit baked alaska for him.

Bridgerton themed party

My crepes suzette was drizzled in a delicious. Buttery orange syrup. Accompanied by some vanilla icecream on a bed of biscuit crumbs. All of our meals tasted delicious and were nicely presented.

Nailcote Hall Hotel also plays host to special party evenings throughout the year and there's a piano bar on site for guests to enjoy.

Full from a hearty breakfast the next day. We retired upstairs to enjoy a late checkout. Where we watched a movie. As we soaked up some sun from our large window and sofa seating area. Which overlooks the well manicured grounds.

Before heading home. Hubby took some more photos of me around the hotel grounds and we relaxed on a bench in the 15 acres of countryside. To breathe in some fresh springtime air. Nailcote Hall is one of the best country hotels near London that's perfect for weddings and romantic getaways.

I hope this article has inspired you to romanticise your life. You don't have to be married or even dating to do so. Start being the main character in your life today. However that looks for you!
