Inspiring Travel Quotes Including Something New

Quotes are encouraging. Thought provoking. Short phrases. That can help remind us why we're on our current journey. When travel becomes a bit tiresome.

Read on for some new and original travel quotes.
As well as some of my favourite. Well known ones.

"Travel isn't always fun and glamorous, but travelling always teaches us something important" - Danielle, www.gonesunwhere.com

BOOM! There goes my first original of five self crafted travel quotes.

Travel quotes

This blog post has been a long time in the making.

Now is the perfect time to put it out there. As I could really do with some vacation inspiration.

Thanks to the rona. Some ups and downs I experienced. During an extended trip to Jamaica.

I'm all travelled out for the time being. It's probably a sin for a travel blogger to utter such words!

People love quotes. Plus we all want to travel. If we're not already. So it makes sense that travel quotes are really popular.

You'll see famous travel quotes all over social media. With phrases regularly popping up on Pinterest. Twitter and Instagram.

Through photos. Video as well as captions.

They can fuel your wanderlust. Make you laugh. Inspire you to travel. Or reminisce on your own travel experiences.

Some travel quotes are by famous people. Such as the following travel quote by JRR Tolkien - Author of the Hobbit and Lord of the rings

"Not all those who wander are lost"

The "not all those who wander are lost" quote is probably the most overused of all travel quotes.

So simple. Yet so true and beautifully said.

Any seasoned traveller like myself, will have at least one memory of getting lost whilst travelling.

I look back to the exciting moments I enjoyed in Venice.

Busy summer streets. Before any global pandemic meant the need for face masks and social distancing.

Ironic. Being that Venice is infamous for eye masks. The flamboyant kind worn by naughty party goers.

The warmth of the sun and the thrill of the unknown. As we wandered each narrow Venetian street. We were in no rush to find our way back to our hotel.

"Vitamin Sea plus vitamin D equals beach therapy" - Danielle, Gonesunwhere.com

With this quote I expand on the trendy "vitamin Sea" phrase.

I love the play on words and beach therapy is literally the best type of therapy there is. If you ask me. I'm such a beach loving person.
Vitamin sea
To get a little technical. Beach therapy is a real thing. Scientifically proven to improve one's mood and I can understand why.

With negative ions from the salt water and sea air giving you some of the best air you can possibly breathe in.

Combine it with all the healing benefits of the sun. Relaxing sound of the sea and top it all off with the ability to go bare foot and connect to the earth's natural. Healing magnetic field.

How about this quote by the Dalai Lama

"once a year go some place you've never been before"

If you're like me. Once a year is not nearly enough! Except for nowadays. With my travel burn out thanks to the pandemic.

"See the world. It's more fantastic than any dream"

"The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" - Lao tzu

"Travel more"
Vacation quote

"Travel. The only addiction that doesn't require rehab" - Danielle, Gone Sun Where

"Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer"

"The world is a book and those that do not travel read only one page"

"Some beautiful paths can't be discovered without getting lost"

"So much of who we are is where we have been"
Truer words have never been spoken. Seeing something on TV or even VCR can't compare to having all five senses activated during a travel experience.

The journey to the destination and back is a big part of the whole trip that needs to be lived and experienced IRL (in real life).

In fact, it's been proven that staring at screens causes depression and sleepless nights. The brain literally needs new experiences.
