Jacquemus New SS22 Collection
French luxury designer Jacquemus has launched his latest collection 'Le bleu' in time for summer. With an immersive event currently taking place at the old selfridges Hotel in London.
Inspired by days at the pool and water in general. The latest pieces from Jacquemus are all blue in colour.
I went along to the exhibition and found myself transported to a blue. Public swimming pools changing room. Heat and humidity included! With multiple blue coloured cubicles.
Most locked shut. One even had steam rising from the top. Another had peep holes all around it. Which showcased les lunettes altu rectangular frame sunglasses.
One was quite funny. As you go to open the door it feels as though someone from inside the cubicle pulls it shut and let's you know that it's occupied in French.
One has doors that get smaller and smaller and smaller. Until finally you can feast your eyes on a cute little Le chequito Jacquemus bag in a beautiful shade of turquoise blue.
Upon exiting the mini exhibition you can purchase a bag. Le Bob gadjo bucket hat or giant blue candle from a 24 hour vending machine.
More jacquemus art and fashion continues at his official store section inside Selfridges. With a giant blue toothpaste in the window display. Beautiful mini jacquemus bags displayed in various colours beneath a row of shower heads. Some are even displayed on kitchen counter style sinks.
I didn't think I liked the la vague shoulder bag. However seeing them in person. They're really impressive. You would certainly know I was rocking a jacquemus bag if I had one of his abstractly shaped la vague. Le sac vague or the stunning rond bag on my arm. With it's circular handle.
I'm spoilt for choice colour wise. With so much more than blue bags on display. All of jacquemus bags are a colour and luxurious texture that I want! From soft suede. To leather and linen. With a gold jacquemus motif.
The Immersive Le bleu event is free and on until 20th May 2022

Provence born Simon Jacquemus has become a cult favourite thanks to his stylish accessories. Most recent of which is Le Sac Vague. Which was showcased in Hawaii as part of the French designer’s Le Splash collection.
