Park Chinois review

Enter the romantic world of decadence at Park chinois. Set in London Mayfair. Attentive waiting staff greet you warmly and take you past the bar to your plush. Comfy seating area for the evening.
Park chinois review
Our reservation was for dinner at Salon de chine. One of two dining rooms at Park chinois. The 1930s themed Asian restaurant. Where live jazz performances serenade you through the night. From 7.30pm onwards.

The cocktail menu at Park chinois is short but sweet. With a lengthy wine list and sommeliers available to guide you through the options.

Wine choices extend through Europe and as far as America. Australia and New Zealand. Should you wish to taste test a wine. Don't be afraid to ask.

Tables for up to four guests are yours to enjoy for two hours. Booking in advance is advised. As almost all slots were gone when I made a last minute booking for dinner at Park Chinois.
Park chinois food
Starters : Stir fried vegetable wrap with lettuce and crispy bao. Mock chicken. Crispy soya and chilli.

The decor at Park chinois is a raunchy red velvet with touches of gold. A fancy winding staircase. Leading to the bathrooms and club chinois. The restaurant below. The livelier restaurant of the two. Serving the same delicious Asian cuisine as salon de chine. This time with more risqué live performances.

Salon de chine is open all week for dinner. With lunch on certain days and a summer garden open for lunches and dinners. With its own separate menu. Whilst club chinois can be enjoyed from Thursday to Saturday in the evenings.

We enjoyed the la nouvelle Cocktail and a mocktail. I much preferred the delicious flavours of the Shanghai soleil mocktails. It's not very often that I'm impressed with a mocktails so I was pleasantly surprised.

To kick the night off. We ordered two apetisers. The mock chicken. Crispy soya and chilli. Plus the stir fried vegetable wrap with lettuce and crispy bao. Both equally delicious. Decently sized starters.
Park chinois vegetarian main
Main : black pepper mock chicken

Moving on to our mains. The black pepper mock chicken. With seasonal veg was perfection. As was the glass vermicelli noodles. With morel mushrooms and shishito peppers.

I can't comment on the dessert options. As I had no room left for any. The dessert menu was. However short but quite intriguing.

Dinner and entertainment at Park chinois doesn't come cheap. With an extra charge for entertainment added to your bill. However. For a special occasion. With top of the line service. It doesn't come much better than this.
