Staying At The Museum Hotel - The Most Famous 5 Star Hotel In Cappadocia

The highlight of our trip to Cappadocia was definitely getting to spend a night at the award winning museum hotel. To think that just hours earlier we were sad to be leaving our suite at the most amazing hotel here - Hermes cave hotel.

As soon as we arrived at the Museum hotel a cool, wet flannel was handed to us on a silver platter. A very nice touch after coming out of the dust and heat.
We were taken on a tour
of the dreamy hotel grounds by staff that could not be faulted.

During the tour we were each handed a complimentary glass of pomegranate juice and told a history behind the drink.

There was so much to see on the Museum hotel tour. It was literally a holiday excursion in itself!

Along the way we saw the museum hotel rose garden. Lavender bushes, vineyards and fruit trees.
A range of animals can be seen on the beautiful grounds at the museum hotel, such as a rare breed of pigeons. Peacocks in the peacock garden and turtles in the turtle garden.

Traditional clothing. Original ancient artefacts and artwork can also be admired all over the museum hotel.

A really cool art exhibition was on display in a cave room at the museum hotel.

We spent the night in the Catalkaya cave Suite. A spacious suite in the junior superior range. The catalkaya suite has a separate lounge area and views of the raised lawn out front. It was great for sunbathing on with amazing, peaceful views over Cappadocia.

The bathroom in our museum hotel suite was truly amazing. A spacious bathroom in neutral white tones of stone and marble. A top of the range hot tub awaits you. I thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing bubble bath at dawn. The window directly above the Jacuzzi provides front row views of sunrise as hot air balloons fill the sky.

A wealth of luxury toiletries are provided. Some high end products plus the museum hotels own luxury range. Even bubble bath and bath salts for the most relaxing soak.

The in suite coffee machine came in handy for our bouts of jet lag. A generous amount of magazines are also at your disposal on the coffee table. You even get to take away some branded stationery's. A DVD and magazine about the museum hotel.

I was glad we arrived early to thoroughly enjoy all that the museum hotel has to offer.

We never imagined we would be holding and feeding turtles during our stay at the museum hotel!
We also enjoyed a delicious dinner at Lil'A. The museum hotel fine dining restaurant.

After a three course dinner with amazing views, we chilled out poolside by the open bar. Living in London we're used to cloudy skies, so we spent a lot of time gazing at the stars in the clear sky and were lucky enough to see a shooting star!

When the next morning rolled around, a breakfast of champions awaited us. We had been up early. Capturing photos of the most beautiful views, as the sun rose in a clear blue sky amidst hot air balloons.

The museum hotel breakfast buffet was truly amazing. Everything you could possibly want at breakfast is available in unlimited amounts.

A selection of smoked meats and fish. Traditional Turkish crepes. Plain and herb butters. Breads. Pastries. Even almond jam and real honeycomb.

There are also fresh and dried fruits. To drink, fresh juice options were available, including honey dew melon and watermelon juice, which made a refreshing change to the usual orange or apple juice.

We had an unforgettable time at the museum hotel. I would give the museum hotel a well deserved 5 out of 5 stars.
