My First Ever Experience Dining At A Vegan Restaurant

My Mildred's London Restaurant Experience

To round off the end of a 30 day meat free challenge, hubby took me to popular vegan restaurant Mildred's. Arriving at the London Soho branch for lunch the queue was almost out the door.
As you step into Mildred's you're
surrounded by colourful, yummy looking vegan dishes, which are available to those who want to take their food away.

The appetising meals that left the kitchen at Mildred's London for those sitting in were really well presented. We were both super excited about trying one of their meat free burgers. Especially after seeing quite a few on other diners plates.

Mildred's is popular, and for a good reason. I ordered the beetroot, white bean and dill burger with sweet potato chips and J had the smoked tofu, lentil and pequillo pepper burger with regular chips. You can choose to add some good ol' Montgomery jack cheese or vegan cheese if you prefer.

The burgers at Mildred's are huge. This was our first time trying a proper meat free burger and we both agreed they both were scrumptious! I'm amazed at how much like meat the burgers at Mildred's taste! A thick, solid meat free pattie that doesn't feebly fall apart.

J is a true man and as you know a man's man loves a good burger so the fact that he approved of this meat free invention speaks volumes.

It felt really good to know that I was eating a healthy meal. The burgers had all the taste of a traditional beef burger but without that horrible greasy feeling.

Sadly, I was too full for dessert, but I plan on returning.

What Was Amazing?

The delicious, healthy food options.

Mildred's London restaurants also have a popular vegetarian cook book which you can purchase through amazon by clicking on the image below.
