How Trap music stole the souls of our generation

How trap music stole the hearts and souls of our generation

Trap music has become a religion. The most high is not pleased! With trap music linked to all things ratchet. Hood and ghetto. Propelled by the rise of social media.

Everyone from your granny. To some baby can be found twerking and getting turnt to trap music.

Never in the history of hip hop have so many new and young musicians rose to fame as quickly as they have.. died!

So many rappers have sold their souls for fame. Only to receive that fame after they have left this realm and entered the pits of hell. It's a very dark time.

Millennials and generation z's are obsessed with the destructive culture of trap. With rampant violence. Suicide. Sex and drug use on display and in our communities. Mainstream trap rappers don't even feel a need to hide their worship of Satan anymore!

The sad truth is. It won't change, but if we can just reach a few souls for Christ. With better trap music. It would mean a lot. Let your ears be blessed by some positive trap inspired music from Hebrew Israelite music producer Task Beats.

He is a follower of the original messiah. The nazarene known as Yashaya. Not Jesus.

What are the origins of trap music?

Trap music is a subgenre of hip hop that originated in the Southern United States during the early 1990s. The genre gets its name from the Atlanta slang word "trap," which refers to a place in which drugs are sold illegally.

Contrary to the negative name of this sub genre. Task beats does not want to catch you in a trap through his trap music, but instead set you free.

Did you know that music has the power to curse and possess people. Or drive out demons?

Just like David's harp did in 1 Samuel 16:23 “And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.” kjv holy Bible verse

Trap music is a powerful tool. In its correct place, it is a gift of praise to the heavenly father. It is a healing. Energising source for the body. Mind and soul under the correct vibrations.

Trap music uses synthesized drums and is characterized by complicated hi-hat patterns, tuned kick drums with a long delay (originally from the Roland TR-808 drum machine), atmospheric synths, and lyrical content. Trap music enjoys rolling snares and falls under the electronic dance music (EDM) category.

Trap music became popular to the point of commercial success. With trap music spin offs, like pop and indie music, using trap elements. To give more relevance to a musicians ability to appear cool and Trendy.

Historical trap music moments in history

1980 - The Roland TR-808 is released. Its deep bass bumps, paired with tiny snares and hi-hats became central to trap music.

1990 - Southern hip hop with its trap origins was on the map. Thanks to Houston, Texas hip-hop producer DJ Screw. Who began recording and selling slowed-down mix cassettes, inventing the famous chopped-and-screwed style.

2000 - Southern hip-hop received more attention from the mainstream American audience. Thanks in part to artists like OutKast. The bounce-influenced New Orleans sound took off. With hits from the likes of Juvenile. Lil Wayne. Birdman and Mannie Fresh. Aka the Cash Money Records crew. Tennessee's crunk music. (Think Lil John) plus Houston's chopped-and-screwed jams.

2003 - Kang (King) of the South - Southern rapper T.I. emerged as a major player with his second album Trap Muzik. Featuring hits like "Rubber Band Man" and "24s." Itbwas music for people at the "trap house," i.e. a drug house. Like chopped-and-screwed, this was music for people on drugs or selling drugs.

2007 - 1017 Brick Squad Records, led by Gucci Mane, bagin recording and releasing "Trap-A-Holics" mixtapes. Featuring artists such as Waka Flocka Flame.

2010 - Waka Flocka released his first album, Flockaveli. His ignorant, party-life lyrical style. Teamed with heavy, yet simple productions resonated with listeners both thug and suburban. Tracks such as "Hard in the Paint," produced by Lex Luger, propelled the rapper to fame. Luger's dark trademark sound, became pivotal in the Southern hip-hop and trap music scenes.

2011 - Flocka and Luger continued to gain fame. Luger began producing for bigger names, like Jay Z, Rick Ross and Kanye West. The tiny, stuttering hi-hat sound began to take over hip-hop airwaves. Electro-house DJs mixed Southern-style productions into their dance-floor sets, and many producers created dubstep remixes of the greatest hits.

2012- Electro-house duo Flosstradamus from Chicago, had a huge hit with their remix of Major Lazer's single "Original Don." They slowed it down. Chopped it up, and threw in some tiny hi-hats. They infused the house beat with the distinguishing features of trap music and chopped-and-screwed genres.

The pair released the Total Recall EP and the sound caught fire with fans already obsessed with the heavy bass of dubstep and lazy rhythms of moombahton. Next, Flosstradamus recorded a two-hour set for Diplo's BBC Radio 1 show Diplo and Friends. Highlighting trap music from its hip-hop origins to the leaders of the trap-house movement. Solidifying trap music's place in popular EDM music category.

2015 - Since crossing over into the mainstream in 2010. Trap has become one of the most popular forms of mainstream music. Consistently dominating the Billboard Hot 100, with artists such as Drake. Cardi B. Migos. Post Malone and Gucci mane to name just a few.

All achieving No. 1s on the chart. With songs that belong to the Trap subgenre.

Much like the Rona. Trap has become so infectious. It's influenced the music of many pop artists, such as Ariana Grande. Beyoncé and Taylor Swift. Its influence can also be heard in reggaetón and K-pop music.

2018 - hip-hop became the most popular form of music for the first time ever (according to Nielsen Data). Thanks largely to trap music and its continued rise in popularity.

2019 - Trap inspired country/rap crossover "Old Town Road" by Lil Nas X (featuring Billy Ray Cyrus) broke the record for spending the most weeks (19 weeks) at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. As well as becoming the fastest song to reach a Diamond Certification.

It's safe to say that trap is the most popular subgenre of hip hop and rap. Which is ironically bitter sweet. As talent has majorly declined since trap began to boom.

Sin has drastically increased and many trap critics can agree that. Most trap rappers are lazy. Talentless musicians. With slurred speech. Repetitive. Nursery rhyme style lyrics dubbed by some as "mumble rap".

The average beat in the Trap genre is no better. With creepy. Depressive. Haunted house like undertones. Think 90's horror movie soundtracks.

Most trap songs have a simple. Amateurish production. The trap music industry has a high turnover of new "talent" corrupting the youth song by song.

Task Beats is a producer with good intentions. Making music with the bible verse Psalm 100 KJV "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands" at the forefront of all he does.
